My approach is informed by Attachment Theory, Family Systems Theory, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. These theories guide me to help clients get unstuck from problematic relational patterns, nurture secure attachment bonds, develop more satisfying relationships, and work through challenges such as trauma, anxiety, and depression. I use a strength-based approach rooted in authenticity and compassion. I have training in Emotion Focused Therapy, an evidence-based model shown to have effectiveness with couples, families, and individuals. For more than 3 years I have been serving highly stressed clients through a community mental health agency. My work with these clients has deepened my awareness of the significance of social privilege and marginalization, as well as human resilience even in the face of great adversity.
