Tyler Goulet

MA, AMFT

I'm passionate about working with individuals who struggle with identity, life transitions, anxiety, and depression.

I'm passionate about working with adult individuals who struggle with understanding: who they are, if they have a purpose, what their purpose might be, what they like, and what they are curious and interested in. I've found that these questions also come with feelings of: anxiety, depression, grief, being fake, being overwhelmed and being lost. Finding answers to these questions typically improves: your sense of purpose, self worth, authenticity, relationships with friends, family, and romantic partners, and your professional life.

My therapeutic style is client centered. This means that you are the expert in you. I'm here to help ask questions you might not have thought about yet. These questions and answers help you progress towards your therapeutic goals. My therapeutic style is also: authentic, comfortable, non-judgmental, curious, experimental, come-as-you-are, and focuses on the problems that are important to you. The modalities and interventions I use are individualized for you based on what works best for you, right now.

I value mental health therapy because of the gifts it has given to me in the past and presently. Through my own personal experience with mental health therapy, I have worked on understanding: who I am, what my purpose is, what I like, and what I'm curious about and interested in.

I've also worked on my own struggles with: trauma, poverty, anxiety, depression, paranoia, grief, dissociation, lack of emotional expression, trust issues, being fake, being overwhelmed, being lost, caregiver abandonment, family expectations, neglect, abusive relationships (family and romantic partners), binge eating, emotional eating, loneliness, career transitions, and personal values.

Please reach out if you think we're a match even if your struggles are not ones I've listed in this limited professional snapshot. I look forward to working with you soon.
