Amy Wang
MA, AMFT
I provide compassionate mental health services for children, teens, adults, and couples who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, and life transitions. I enjoy using mindfulness techniques, parts work, and I am a trauma-informed and IFS-informed therapist.
My intention is to provide clients with a safe, warm, and supportive environment where you can process stressors and life experiences, and gain insight into your needs and behaviors. I value working collaboratively with you towards achieving your goals. Together, we can identify where you're feeling stuck, explore feelings and needs, develop insights, and I'll support you to reach your most authentic self and feel more at peace in your life.
My approach is to listen with compassionate understanding, providing safety for you to explore your concerns, finding concrete strategies to solve or alleviate issues, and walk beside you on your path. I treat issues like anxiety, depression, trauma. I'm a trauma-informed, Internal Family Systems-informed therapist.
In addition, I have over 10+ years of experience with meditation, in the Zen and Vipassana/Insight Meditation traditions. I enjoy incorporating mindfulness and self-compassion into client treatment if appropriate. I am passionate about supporting Asian and Asian American clients and families.
I feel honored to accompany you in this journey of healing, hope, and discovery.
