Ashley Griffin
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
I specialize in diagnosing mental health conditions and providing individualized medication management for children, teens, and adults. My approach is collaborative and evidence-based, with a focus on supporting each client’s unique needs and goals.
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) providing individualized psychiatric care for children ages 6 and up, adolescents, and adults. My practice focuses on thoughtful diagnosis, collaborative medication management, and a holistic approach to mental health that considers the full picture of each person’s well-being.
Before becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I spent 11 years working as a registered nurse in emergency trauma care. That experience shaped the way I approach mental health treatment today—with calm presence, careful listening, and a deep understanding of how stress, trauma, and life experiences impact both the mind and body.
My practice integrates evidence-based psychiatry with principles of functional and holistic mental health care. While medication can be an important part of treatment, I also look at underlying contributors to mental health symptoms, including lifestyle, stress, sleep, hormonal changes, and overall physical health. When appropriate, I incorporate lab evaluation and pharmacogenetic testing (GeneSight) to help personalize medication choices and improve treatment outcomes.
I work with a wide range of concerns including ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and trauma-related conditions. I have a particular interest in supporting millennials navigating a new ADHD diagnosis, postpartum and perinatal mood disorders, and individuals experiencing stress related to life transitions or burnout.
My goal is to create a collaborative and empowering treatment environment where clients feel heard and actively involved in their care. Treatment plans may include medication management, behavioral strategies, psychoeducation, and practical tools to support long-term mental wellness.
I am committed to providing care that is inclusive, culturally responsive, and affirming. I am passionate about supporting diverse communities, including BIPOC individuals, LGBTQIA+ clients, and women’s mental health across the lifespan. Representation and trust matter in healthcare, and my goal is for every patient to feel respected, understood, and supported throughout their care.
I am currently expanding my training in additional therapeutic modalities and specialized treatment for OCD, continuing my commitment to offering individualized and evolving mental health care for each client.
