Kelsey Atwood
MA, LCSW
I specialize in treating teens and adults experiencing trauma, mood disorders, and life transitions, with a special passion for working with adolescents and new parents. I am trained in EMDR.
Change can stir up powerful waves of emotion. Life transitions—whether expected or sudden—can make those waves feel overwhelming, unpredictable, and hard to manage. If you're a teen discovering your identity, a new parent adjusting to life with a baby, or simply someone navigating a season of change, I’m here to help you ride the waves rather than be pulled under by them.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience, I provide a strength-based therapeutic relationship. We will create a space where you can explore your experiences, gain insight, and develop practical tools to navigate life's ups and downs.
Therapy with me is a warm, collaborative process. My approach combines the structure of DBT and CBT with a trauma-informed, deeply compassionate lens. I also integrate EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a powerful tool to address trauma at its root. Sessions are paced thoughtfully and always tailored to your unique needs.
My goal is to meet you where you are while gently challenging you to grow in meaningful ways. Together, we’ll build on your strengths, cultivate self-compassion, and help you move forward with confidence. I feel honored to walk beside you as a partner on this journey!
