I am passionate about working with children, teens, young adults, and families to address a variety of concerns including trauma, depression, anxiety, self-harm, and relational issues. I am trained in EMDR.
As an Associate Clinical Social Worker, I can provide psychotherapy to a diverse variety of individuals. I believe that each of us has a natural tendency to move towards healing, health, and connection. In our work together, I’ll hold a space for us to safely facilitate your own healing process.
When working with children and adolescents, the relationship between the therapist and client is key. I work collaboratively with young people to build a warm partnership in which we can address their goals for treatment. At times, this can also mean working with the family systems through parent consultation meetings or family therapy.
My therapeutic approach is client centered, mindfulness-based, and trauma-informed. By pulling from various therapeutic perspectives, we can adapt our time together to meet your unique needs. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR therapy) to provide treatment to individuals who are processing trauma. I also create an affirming space in which we can examine all of your various identities, including your gender, sexual, spiritual, and racial diversity.
I have been working to address mental health concerns with children, youth, and families in various capacities since 2015. I graduated from San Jose State with a Masters in Social Work in 2021 and received a bachelor’s degree in both Psychology and Communication Studies from Boston University in 2015. Outside of my work, I enjoy being in nature, eating delicious food, spending time with my dog, and getting lost in a good book.
