Lani Advokat
MS, AMFT, APCC
I work with adolescents, adults, individuals, couples, and families navigating a range of concerns, including anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relational challenges, grief and loss, and significant life experiences.
Being human is hard, and living in today’s world can feel overwhelming. I offer a supportive, collaborative space where you can feel heard, understood, and less alone. I view the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for meaningful change, with connection, trust, and curiosity guiding our work together.
My approach is trauma-informed and holistic, recognizing the connection between mind and body as well as the broader social, cultural, and environmental systems that shape well-being. I draw from an integrative range of modalities, tailoring my work to each person’s unique needs and goals.
I hold a background in school counseling and am also a trained yoga teacher, with experience supporting culturally diverse communities. I value cultural humility, inclusivity, and accessibility, and I believe mental health care should be available to everyone. I strive to create a space where clients of all ages, identities, abilities, and backgrounds feel seen, respected, and supported.
When I am not in session, I enjoy practicing yoga, trail running, hiking, and spending time outdoors. These practices support my own sense of balance and well-being.
Whether you are seeking support for a specific challenge or simply looking for space to explore, I welcome you to reach out. My hope is to support you in moving toward a more authentic sense of self, with greater clarity, connection, and confidence in how you show up in your life.
