Liz Garnett
MA, AMFT
I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, specializing in grief, family dynamics, anxiety, and depression.
In session I offer authentic presence and evocative empathy. My goal is to create a safe space for us to explore your past and current challenges and understand what is most important to you. Building on your own inner strengths we will develop strategies to create new patterns in your life and improve the quality of connections with others. We may also use tools of creative expression, art therapy, movement or mindfulness depending on what feels right to you.
For over 20 years I have worked supporting clinical research in Pediatrics. I learned how to encourage and support children, adolescents and their families in dealing with chronic illnesses. Now I am focused on helping my clients develop the skills to help them make the changes they are seeking. I strongly believe in the individual’s insight into the healing they most need and see my role not to direct the way or even serve as a guide but rather to offer kind awareness and reflection to clients as they navigate their path to healing.
