Mikaela Dixon
MA, ASW
I work with adults, children, and teens who struggle with anxiety, relationship or family issues, and trauma.
My approach includes elements from parts work/IFS, somatic therapy, and child-centered play therapy, but ultimately varies according to your unique needs.
I am a generalist and have experience working with a wide variety of concerns such as anxiety disorders, trauma, depression, grief, relationship issues, identity development, and ADHD. My theory of change is that true healing comes from getting to the root of an issue and understanding the deeper needs beneath it. I'm here to provide genuine care and support while letting you set the pace. My approach is deeply person-centered, which means you'll take the reins while I'll walk alongside you. Together, we'll explore the parts of you that feel stuck in unwanted patterns so we can help you get unstuck.
Whatever you bring to therapy, I am here to accept and support you. It is a true honor to be trusted with your story and to be a part of your journey back to yourself.
