Saidah Collins

MA, AMFT

I work with children, teens, adults, and families, specializing in neurodivergence, trauma, and emotional challenges, using a flexible, client-led, and trauma-informed approach.

Hello, my name is Saidah Collins, and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I am so excited to be part of this team and to walk alongside clients in their journey of healing and growth. I have experience working with children, teens, adults, and families, supporting clients through challenges such as trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, and life transitions. I also have a special focus on working with neurodivergent clients, including those with ADHD and autism. My clinical background includes a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Grambling State University, a Historically Black University, and a master’s degree in both School Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in humanistic and person-centered principles, while also incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and somatic practices. I believe that all clients have the innate capacity for growth, healing, and self-actualization when given a safe and supportive space. In therapy, I strive to provide warmth, empathy, genuineness, and non-judgment, fostering a strong therapeutic alliance that allows clients to explore their inner world. I believe healing often comes from removing barriers such as limiting self-beliefs, reframing negative thought patterns, and strengthening the nervous system’s ability to respond to life’s stressors.

When working with neurodivergent clients, I integrate grounding practices, nervous system regulation, and concrete behavioral strategies to help navigate moments of overwhelm. I also take a holistic view of each client, understanding that emotional, physical, relational, and spiritual aspects of life are deeply interconnected in the process of change. Above all, I believe therapy is a collaborative and relational process where each person’s strengths can be uncovered and nurtured, leading to deeper self-awareness, resilience, and growth.
