I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults who struggle with trauma, depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. I use a multicultural lens and an integrative approach to therapy.
I have always been deeply passionate about mental health, and being a therapist has been a true privilege in my life. Over the years, I've had the incredible opportunity to work with a diverse population within our community, gaining invaluable experience from addressing various clinical issues in a non-profit organization and working with students in a school setting. This wide-ranging experience allows me to adapt my approach to therapy to best suit your unique needs.
In my practice, I embrace an integrative, collaborative, and client-centered approach to therapy. I draw from a diverse range of therapeutic modalities, including strengths-based approaches, cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care. Throughout my journey as a therapist, I've helped clients with various clinical issues, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, identity concerns, and relationship challenges, among others. Having been born and raised in Malaysia, I have a personal understanding of acculturation, and I recognize the significance of multicultural competency in my work with clients. Cultural sensitivity and respect for diversity are essential aspects of the support I offer to individuals from various backgrounds.
I firmly believe that establishing a strong foundation together is paramount in our therapeutic work. To accomplish this, I am committed to providing you with a safe space and fostering healthy, transparent communication. In our sessions, you are the main character in your story, and I see my role as a guide, helping you navigate and shape your narrative in a way that promotes growth and healing. Together, we will work collaboratively to create positive change and help you achieve your personal goals.
